welcome to etsy

I know, I know...I've said it a million times (at least).  This time, it's official.  I really have been sewing, and I have listed my creation on Etsy.  My first time to ever sell on Etsy!

Allow me to introduce you all to the "Evelyn" tiered sundress-swing top.  This is something I have been making for my littlest, Evelyn (hence the name) and I just love it.  I couldn't get her to model for this, but hopefully soon.  She isn't the happiest in front of a camera.

This is a ready to ship item, size 2T, so if you are interested, please check it out HERE.

shoetime

It's that time of year again... time to cleanse the closets of things that do not fit.  Check out all of Evelyn's shoes on eBay right now.  I have listed Pipsqueak, Bear Feet, GAP, and Circo sandals.  Here are some peeks.

trashy gift

I have found the world's coolest hair accessory!

The amazing and uber talented Heather Bailey is the creative genius behind Trash Ties (the coolest hair accessory, EVER).

One of the highlights of my trip to Portland was getting to meet Heather in person.  I must tell you, I was so intimidated that I stammered and acted like a star struck teenager (which I was, star struck that is...teenager, not so much).  She is so lovely.  Soft spoken, elegant, stylish, and everything that makes her blog so cool and fun to read just oozes out of her from across a room.  Now you get the gist of why I was immediately in a state of "awe" when I spotted her.

Here is a photo of us, me looking like the ultimate goof and Heather quite chic as one might imagine.

As I was saying, her Trash Ties are the most incredible thing.  I tested them today on Evelyn.  Her hair is SUPER fine, as you can see in the pictures.  The Trash Ties held it!  She looked so darling, I just wanted to take pictures of her all day, but she had other plans (that involved chocolate cake and strawberry lemonade so I had to give her leave).

I managed to snag a few good pictures before she ran off to party the evening away.

Yesterday I was given a most precious gift, by my niece Taylor.  She has been away at Summer camp and I have missed her so much.  It was the sweetest thing to know she made me a little box while she was away and gave it to me wrapped and everything.  It made me feel very special, I am so happy to have a relationship with her, she is such a neat young lady.  Love you Tay!!!

Just look at how useful Taylor's gift turned out to be.....

...yep, it is the perfect Trash Tie holder!!  I love it!!

inspiration

Amybblog3_3

Amy Butler: inspiring me since the beginning of my sewing career; inspiring me still.

I know I must sound like an star struck fan, the truth, however, is that this beautiful woman has inspired me from the moment I saw her Gypsy Caravan line of fabric. My girls have been dressed in her prints from the time they arrived on this earth to this very day! I feel so privileged to have met her.

Amy's fabrics have been a staple on my shelves and in my designs since day one. Her hard work and creativity inspired so many outfits and honestly, played a HUGE role in Sweet Feet Boutique's existence. I still sew many things for the girls with Amy Butler fabric, and I am clamoring to purchase more after seeing peeks at the International Quilt Market in Portland, OR. I am certain that Miss Masyn (who is now much older than the picture below) will require pockets, but that will be nice because I want to use some of each print... the colorways are gorgeous!

I never expected to get so emotional when I met her, but I couldn't hold back tears, it was so overwhelming. This woman is amazing and it exudes from her like light pouring out from her eyes and dimples. Everything about her inspires me and I hope to one day know her better. She is absolutely bursting with kindness, class, creativity, and passion. I am so grateful for the trail she has been blazing and I can't wait to see what she will create next!

Thank you Amy, for being so patient and kind with an awestruck girl like me, you are the dearest for taking time to talk with me and let me snap endless photos! Many hugs and much admiration~

i now interrupt your drooling...

... to bring you this interview.

I was so honored to be featured in one of Cree's interviews! Thank you so much and I really hope you enjoy the candid moment. Cree is fantastic with choosing questions, and this interview was probably more fun for me than for anyone else. I am so grateful and flattered!!!

vicarious shopping

Shopping. Fashion. Clothes. Accessories.

I heartily admit to loving all of the above far too much. Yes, it's not even healthy how much time and money I could spend if given leisure with both. Since I find myself trying to save both of those, I am shopping vicariously online tonight and thought I would share some of my Etsy finds with you all.

Click on the pictures to visit the site for each of these.
