If I were to post an image of myself right now, I believe it would cause people to run and hide in complete and unabashed terror.
I'm 26 and I have caught the Chicken Pox from my kids.
When someone tells you "Chicken Pox are so much worse for adults...." BELIEVE THEM!
I have given birth 3 times, two of those times without any drugs at all, but that was a cakewalk compared to the C.Pox.
It started with a massive ache generating from my neck into my torso and extremities. The next thing to hit was the migraine (quite possibly the worst I've ever had, and I have them often). A fever and chills set in shortly after my head began to pound. 2 days later I was covered in itching blisters.
At one point I felt as if I would jump through a window just to feel the shards of glass scratch my skin and give me relief. I couldn't sleep for 36 hours...every time my eyes would drift shut I would feel burning and itching in some new place jarring me from possible sleep. I gave up on sleep and went about my day until Adonis arrived home to watch the girls. At that point I took several Aleve and climbed into my bed, I would not emerge from that place for the next 12 hours.
Although I still itch, still look like a toad, and still battle small headaches and stiffness in my spine, I am happy to say "it feels like the worst is behind me."
I can report (thanks to parents and in-laws) that Oatmeal Baths DO HELP! Thank you guys, those were a lifesaver to Masyn and me!
Sadly, very sadly, I had to reschedule a shoot that I was to have this weekend with a darling family! Hopefully when the weather warms up and when I don't look like I've been befallen with one of the plagues of Egypt, I will have some cute new pictures to show you all. Until then, I guess I will just keep snapping away at my own dotted little girls in our quarantined home.
